Region: Castile and León (Bierzo)
Type: Red Crianza
Alcoh ol: 14.00 º Price: Approx. € 25
Tasting Notes: Garnet red with purple hues, very lively and bright, excellently covered. The nose shows ripe black fruit, very spicy mineral against a very, very intense. The palate is unctuous, round with plenty of tannin, nice oak notes, slightly cool, very long and balanced.
Personal Review: A mencía evolved, with a fruit in "seasoning", and some licorice reduced but very present. The wine has a "cut" floral and smoky, somewhat earthy aroma with slight initial reduction. The palate is powerful, structured, with ripe tannins and bright. Persistent. Smoked. He's in his "moment" with balance and lively acidity.
I stick with: Sausage and smoked meat stews
